Strafaci Continues to Rack Up Awards

Pinehurst, N.C. (Sept. 14, 2020) Tyler Strafaci has won back-to-back Ben Hogan Golfer of the Month honors. Strafaci was named the Ben Hogan Award July Golfer of the Month after victories at the North & South Amateur at the Pinehurst Resort and County Club and the Palmetto Amateur. Then, in August he won this second consecutive Ben Hogan Golfer of the Month after winning 120th U.S. Amateur Championship at Bandon Dunes. The Ben Hogan Award is an annual prize given by Friends of Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America, since 1990, to the best college golf player in the United States. It is awarded annually to the top men’s college golfer taking into account all collegiate and amateur competitions over the previous 12 months. The 21-year old is a senior at Georgia Tech.
Frank Strafaci, Tyler’s grandfather, won the North & South in 1938 and 1939, He also won the U.S. Amateur Public Links in 1935.
